Flipping the Government to Blue

Flipping the Government to Blue

Our Action Plan

Feed our Democracy believes that each of our small actions can add up to big change. This Action Plan for Flipping the Government to Blue gives you some simple steps you can take to make a difference.

Swing Left

Swing Districts are places where the winner of the last House of Representatives election was determined by a thin margin. Swing Left helps you find and commit to supporting progressives in your closest Swing District so that you can help ensure we take back the House in 2018. Support and donate. You can raise funds two ways: 1) for Democratic candidates in Swing Districts, and 2) donating to “District Funds,” which are pots of money, raised in advance, for the eventual Democratic nominee in each Swing District. Democratic challengers to Republican-held seats will get the money the day after they win the primary. Democratic incumbents will get the money immediately.

Emily’s List

EMILY’s List is an American political action committee (PAC) that aims to help elect pro-choice Democratic female candidates to office. Support and donate to help train and elect women who are running for office.

Flippable

Flippable is building the movement to flip states blue—and restore our country’s democracy. The Flippable Fund is the simplest, most effective way to fuel the national blue wave—and flip our country around. Donations to their PAC will support Democrats running for state-level office in 2018. They cut through the noise by selecting 100 excellent candidates in strategic districts.

Higher Heights

Higher Heights is building a national infrastructure to harness Black women’s political power and leadership potential. Headquartered in New York, NY, Higher Heights for America, a national 501(c)(4) organization and its sister organization Higher Heights Leadership Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization, is investing in a long-term strategy to analyze, expand and support a Black women’s leadership pipeline at all levels and strengthen their civic participation beyond just Election Day.

Sister District Project

The Sister District Project organizes volunteers into local teams to win state elections for Democrats. Their focus is down-ballot on critical state races. They support a portfolio of races, with the strategic goals of (1) flipping or holding chambers, (2) busting Republican supermajorities, and (3) taking back seats in badly gerrymandered states.
